Almost everyday I see links on friend’s walls at Facebook with piquant headlines like “15 year old girl jumped from the roof of a shop” or “video posted by teenager ruined her life” and so on. These are always tactics of spammers and scammers used to mislead credulous people and use their profiles to spam. Today I noticed one post which had image blocked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

Link to facebook.cz was easy to find:

Infected Facebook profile

Trying to find some information about this infection involved searching by malicious image path and video title “Mlada ceska pred webkamerou ukazuje vse!“.

Kaspersky Poland Lab posted a note about this video virus on March 11. From what I managed to learn from translation of Google this malicious video infects computers and tablets by spreading itself on infected person’s profile. When user clicks link he is asked to send SMS message which ostensibly allows to view piquant video.

I encourage everybody to keep in mind that similar videos are used by scammers to boost nuber of fans for Facebook pages and infect people’s profiles by flooding them with spammy messages. Watch out!
